About the Role:
Are you a detail-oriented IT professional passionate about Windows Server environments? Our client is looking for a Windows Server Operations Support Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. In this role, you’ll be pivotal in managing, maintaining, and optimizing their Windows server infrastructure to ensure stability, performance, and security. - Location: Enfield, CT & Fort Myers, FL
- Onsite: Yes, Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities
- Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems to support critical business functions.
- System Monitoring: Set up and maintain monitoring solutions to identify and resolve server issues proactively.
- Patch Management: Apply security patches and updates to keep systems reliable and secure.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve server-related problems, collaborating with IT teams and vendors as needed.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and implement measures to improve server efficiency and performance.
- Security Compliance: Enforce and adhere to security best practices, safeguarding the server environment from potential threats.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop, implement, and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaboration: Partner with system administrators, network engineers, and other IT teams to integrate Windows servers into the broader IT ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Windows server administration.
- Proficiency with Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019).
- Strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and other server technologies.
- Experience working in VMware virtualized environments.
- Familiarity with server hardware and storage solutions.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server (e.g., MCSA, MCSE)
- CompTIA Server+
